This Year's Family Photos!
Last year, we had a friend of the family, Charles from Charles Coleman Photography, take our family photos. They turned out great, so of course we called him again for this year. Charles is an awesome guy with a big christian heart, AND he takes fantastic photos. Check out his site! Here are a few of my favorites.

Photography Challenge 4: Seared & Stuffed Red Peppers
Seared and Steamed Red Peppers stuffed with beef, rice, and beans topped with a slice of tomato and cheese. Sour cream, salsa, tortilla chips on the side, and that thing sticking straight up out of the red pepper? It's fried Pepper Jack cheese....OMG....SO.Darn.Good.

Photo Challenge #2: What Makes You Smile?

Ok. I have to admit something. I DID take these pictures...However, I didn't take them this week. These are actually from earlier this summer while on vacation. This week was my first week back to school after two months of vacation. (I teach 5th grade.) It's been soooooooo busy, and I have been sooooooooo tired, that I have come home and CRASHED every night this week.
Next week will be better!! Hopefully, my body will be back on the "5:15 am wake up call" routine, and won't leave me in a slump by 5pm everyday. :)
Enjoy the shots anyway. They are plants from my grandparent's house. I love their structure and repetition.

Photography Challenge!!
Laura Beth over at A Step in the Journey has offered up a photo challenge for those who think they are up for it. You may be asking, "Is that a dare, Tracy??" My reply would be, "Heck yeah, it is!! DO IT!!"
Erin, from A Bird and A Bean, and I are excited to jump right in and give it a go! I completed a 365 photo project for the year 2008 ( check it out here.) Although it was tough getting in a pic everyday of the ENTIRE year, it was rewarding. Now, three years ( and another baby) later, I really really don't think I would be able to do a 365, but I think I COULD do this challenge. And I need a challenge to get my booty in gear. Don't you? It is a fantastic way to get to know your camera, and stretch yourself artistically. Won't you join us?
Check out the weekly challenges below, and click on the button on the right side of my blog for more info.... Good luck and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Latest Photography Gig
My good friend, Anita, needed someone to take some shots of her girls, and I needed some practice photographing real people. ( Normally, I prefer taking photos of non living things. ) :) She took a chance on an unknown kid (or a 35 yr old woman with relatively small experience), and let me have at it.
Last Sunday, the Adkins family met me at the Old Woolen Mill in Cleveland. We spent a couple of hours "smiling" and "acting natural." There are quite a few, but these are my fav's....

Aren't they just the cutest girls? It was a fun afternoon. These little beauties have lovely personalities to match those faces. :)
