Post-It Present

Ok, so here's another inexpensive fun little gift. I made these for my son's pre-school teachers. Super easy, and in my opinion...super cute! ( I found this idea somewhere online after blog hopping, and I just tried to find it so I could give props...but no dice. Will let you know when I do find it.)

What you need:
clear frames (I bought mine at Dollar Tree for, you guessed it...$1.00)
post-it's (I bought a generic pack at Wal-Mart for $1.74. Had enough in this one pack for 5 presents)
scrapbook paper/embellishments (Already had these.)

I think it's pretty self explanatory how to do this little project, but here goes...
Cut scrapbook paper to fit frame, stick post-its on the front, and attach ribbon or embellishment. Done. :)

Seriously....why are we the same person? You will be happy to know that you beat me to posting this very same thing. Exactly! I made them for Lucie's preschool teachers too!!! I am so sure. I saw them at a craft fair and was like, "I could make those". So I did! They were charging 8 bucks!!! What???? And people were buying them! :) not me. hehehe. Very cute.

I just saw this on Pinterest and was trying to make some for teachers' gifts. How do you keep your post it notes on? Mine keep falling off.
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing as Lacey. Did you use anything extra to keep the post it pad on the plastic?

We made some of these this weekend and we found that Zot's glue dots on the last post-it held them on just fine.

Hi. Where do you get the little tags? I looked all over Michaels today. I'm sort of new at this. Any help is much appreciated. I'm a (super poor) grad student, and I wanted to make this for my friends at work. Thanks!

These are very cute. For the gal who wants to get small tags, punches are what you need.

Thank you for this post! I just made one for my son's kindergarten teacher. I actually used Scotch tape behind the post-it pad and also on the last post-it to keep both attached to the whole project. Not visible, and works...so far! (I didn't want to use glue in case she wanted to put something else in the frame at some point, but they are Dollar Tree frames, so I guess that's not really a big deal.)

LOVE this idea! Saw it on Pinterest and made a few for teachers! When you have 14 teachers to buy for, you need something inexpensive but also nice. Thanks for the tutorial!

Just finished making this for my Neice in college. Very Adorable. I too had a problem with the note pad falling off, so I decided to only place 1/2 on at a time. ;)

Buy the "super sticky" postit notes. They hold great all by themselves! I've had mine on the counter for more than a month and the postit's don't budge :) Just take the back "cover" off and put the notes directly on the frame.

Thanks for a great gift idea. I was looking for something for a great gift for shut-ins and this fits it perfectly.

You can get them at Walmart for .96 in my area. Also if you lay them down so the base is at the top and it puts them on an angle you can write right on the post it note. Great gift idea and can make them for the seasons and holidays.

I also use double sided tape to keep the post it notes in place so I can buy the cheap ones. ;)

For those that used glue dots and other adhesives, would it be self evident to the receiver to use those same items when they run out of post-its? Or is there something that could be used to make it more easy to refill?
